COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is a multidisciplinary approach to the comprehensive nutrition care of pediatric patients. The purpose is to share a foundation of knowledge and skill to provide evidence-based nutrition care within the scope of multiple health care disciplines. Attendees will learn the nutrition interventions for infants, children and adolescents with a variety of common diseases. The course will focus on the nutrition management of various diseases by organ system. A special focus will also be on some of the current issues in nutrition in the pediatric patient and what the available literature recommends.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This course is designed for pediatricians, primary care physicians, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists and dietitians.
