Starting Monday, June 23rd, 2025, at 09:00 A.M. CDT, users who log in to Methodist MD MyApps (i.e. external Citrix published applications) will receive a new DUO prompt, which is called the Universal Prompt. It replaces the traditional prompt.

What is changing?

The DUO Universal Prompt will default to prompting you with a push, call, or passcode depending on what method you last used, but you can easily choose to change the method of authentication on any login attempt by clicking on Other Options.

What is not changing?

What do I need to do?

You do not need to make any changes to use the new Universal Prompt. This is just to make you aware of where you will begin to see it.

Why the change?

DUO is ending support for the Traditional prompt this year in favor of the Universal Prompt, which has the most secure design and is more intuitive for the user.
