Methodist University Hospital Parking Plaza Opens Jan. 9

The new Methodist University Parking Plaza is scheduled to open January 9. The plaza will add 700 parking spaces to the University Hospital campus and is open to visitors, patients, guests and physicians.

Patients and families will enter the plaza from Eastmoreland and will have a covered walkway into the hospital from Level 1. The walkway will take them to a new lobby and reception area in Wilson Hall.

Our physician partners have reserved parking on the ground and first floors of the new parking plaza and will enter off Linden between Claybrook and Bellevue. Physicians also have the option to use the Wilson Hall garage and the Valet service throughout construction.

All Associates, residents and students will continue parking in the Associate garage on Bellevue.

Beginning January 9, public traffic will be allowed onto Eastmoreland to access the Plaza ONLY. Eastmoreland is no longer a “thru street” between Bellevue and Claybrook. Currently, Eastmoreland west of Claybrook is open ONLY to ambulances and construction vehicles.

Associates coming from Wilson Hall or the POB(MAC) must use the Eastmoreland crosswalk to enter the hospital. There will be NO PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC allowed between the Parking Plaza and Eastmoreland until the tower is complete.

To offer the safest environment possible, our Methodist University security team will continue to monitor the Associate garage 24/7 using vehicle and foot patrol and video surveillance. You’ll also see additional lighting to provide a clear path in the construction area.

Please take a look at the map below. We want to thank you for your patience while we elevate the future of healthcare for our patients and their families.
